  3. I have the program installed correctly, reset the compiler settings to default, but when I build and run, my command prompt pops up empty without outputting the "Hello World" text….

  6. someone pls help! I downloaded the correct program but at first attempt to build and run the program i received a message saying something about the compiler, telling me to go to toolchain executables. I selected auto-detect next to GNU GCC and now the command window will pop up but it is completely blank besides the run time and the 'press any key to continue'

    its a silly habit but i want to work with same Code Blocks Version (10.05) as he was using 5 years back !
    so the problem is that, The Whole World is connected to the Current Latest Version of Code Blocks that is (16.01) & i want to Learn with that old Version ! Because Graphical User interface matters to me when learning something NEW !

    is this really gonna make problems for me to not practice NEW Version !

  8. Is Eclipse reccomended? I've installed the compiler and everything runs fine. However, I do not know whether or not I should switch.

  9. Does anyone have a link to the NON – Code Blocks based tutorials for Beginner C++?? – Looking for the Visual Studio version of Buckys tutorial.

  10. Anyone who downloaded Code::Blocks and ran the program, and it showed you :- can't find compiler executable in your search path – you're not alone, I got it too. Go to SETTINGS -> Compiler -> Reset to default, it should work properly. (atleast it worked for me. If not, see code blocks forums where they have discussed this error, maybe you will find help there)

  12. I took my first computer class some time ago. It took half the semester to get to functions and I still didn't understand it fully. This morning I went down to the coffee shop and Bucky got me there in about 3hrs. Some people just have a gift for teaching and braking shit down so that anyone who want to learn, can. Keep up the good work Bucky and thanks for leveling the playing field.

  13. I've been trying to download Code Blocks for like a week now and still can't download it. Somehow the website just goes over and over from the start without downloading the installer. I need help please Mr. Bucky. I really need this for my course in college. Help me install it. Or anyone out there please help me.

  14. Why would I learn c++ and take the pain of learning memory allocation/deallocation and pointers when Java is already there? Can't see any possible reason except killing brain cells.
